What Now?

Life after the First Degree

THE MORNING AFTER

You wake, and nothing looks different — yet everything is. You are a Witch of the First Degree. The title isn't a costume; it's a way of moving through the world. Speak less of it than you know. Let the power settle into your bones before you name it to others.

PRACTICES TO KEEP

Daily

  • — A moment of grounding at dawn or dusk.
  • — Light a candle. Speak to the Moon when She's visible.
  • — One line in your Book of Shadows, even if only "I showed up."

Weekly

  • — Tend your altar. Replace what's wilted, recharge what's dulled.
  • — Walk somewhere wild. Listen more than you cast.
  • — Sit with one practice from the course until it's yours.

STAY CONNECTED

A Witch alone is still a Witch, but a coven is a mirror. Keep writing in your Book of Shadows — your instructor still reads. Share a reflection when you have one; hold silence when you don't. The community is not a stage. It's a hearth.

ON SECOND DEGREE

The Second Degree will call you when it's time — and not a day before. Do not rush toward it for a title. Rush toward it only when the First Degree has become so natural you forget you're doing it. A year and a day is a floor, not a finish line. Live here first.

"You reached the Moon. Now live there for a while. Teach when you're ready. I'll be here."
